Trek Mulanje's story
Trek Mulanje is a local trekking company based in Likhubula, Mulanje in the southern corner of Malawi.
The company is run by the locals who live at the foot of Mulanje Mountain.
Mulanje is one of the highest mountains in Africa with the highest point of the mountain called Sapitwa. From Sapitwa you can often see the Indian Ocean.
As the premiere local trekking company, Trek Mulanje has the finest professional tour guides and porters and importantly, we only use guides officially registered by the Ministry of Tourism Parks and Wildlife.
Mulanje mountain has 9 tourists huts namely, Chambe, Chisepo, Lichenya, CCAP, Francis Cottage, Thuchila, Chinzama, Minunu, Sombani and Madzeka.
Packages include either full board package or self catering package depending on your budget. Trek Mulanje can arrange airport collection from Blantyre if requested (additional cost).

David Majeweta
Trek Mulanje was established by David Majeweta - a Malawian born right at the foot of Mt Mulanje. After undergoing his education in 1997 David joined the tourism industry and has guided tourists since as a registered Tour Guide by Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Parks.
David has travelled to France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and England but calls Malawi home. David prides himself on good management and client experience.
Chipiliro Nedi
Also born near the foot of the Mulanje Mountain, Chipiliro is another passionate local who has guided in the region since 2004. As well as being a guide Chipiliro is a trained Primary School Teacher and has a vast knowledge of Mount Mulanje and Malawian history.
